I grabbed up Persona 2 back in high school,
so that's where all of the fanart on this page
comes from.
I got into it because of the gorgeous,
sleek-looking art of
Kazuma Kaneko, and then
into the intriguing gameplay and story.
For a kid like me, whose father got her interested in the symbolism
and art behind tarot cards, this game utterly captivated me...
until I got to the Subway dungeon, where I kind of just gave up.
The fashionable character designs and the rumor system
and the quirky monster communication were awesome.
I was really lucky to be able to pick up a copy of P2:EP when
I could, because these days, it's pretty hard to find.
If you look up Persona 2: Eternal Punishment on the web,
you'll probably find that it's actually the second game
called Persona 2. The first one is called Persona 2: Innocent Sin,
which was never released in the U.S.. I'm glad to have gotten
the chance to play P2:EP at all, but why would the U.S. decide
to bring over a second part of something without the first part of something?
Anyway, a special tip of the hat to my friend Karn for turning me on to the Persona Series. :D
Without her expertise, I probably wouldn't have known too much about Innocent Sin...but I'm still spelling Urara wrong. XD
Image of the game's U.S. cover was appropriated from RPG Dreamer's Page on P2.
